With monthly traceable worksheets, live practice sessions, challenges/prompts and an opportunity to learn alongside supportive creatives- Pen to Paper is designed to keep you engaged and excited to show up and see progress in your creative journey.
Traceable Worksheet
At the 1st of every month, you will receive a new traceable worksheet to guide you through your practice times. This year, we are writing out the month in 3 different scripts - Copperplate, Spencerian, and Cursive! Takes the pressure off what to practice so you have a practical resource to look forward to every month.
Live Practice Session
Join me and other calligra-friends as we practice in real time once a month. We will use our monthly traceables as a starting point and there will also be a time for Q&A so you can ask questions and receive support. These sessions will be available as a replay for those who are unable to join live.
Challenges/Prompts
Challenges help us from being a passive to an active participant. Every month, I'll be sending out a prompt to get your creative juices flowing. These are not meant to overwhelm you, but to help you stay on the path and have fun, attainable goals that you can strive towards and accomplish!
Why Pen to Paper?
The phrase "Pen to Paper" means alot to me because it brings me back to my beginnings in 2014. I first picked up the pointed pen when I was in my early 30s, raising 2 boys under 5. It was such a dark season of navigating motherhood and various challenges. With a desire to write out words of hope and promises from God's Word, I looked up calligraphy workshops in my area and said YES to stepping out of my comfort zone to learn something new.
Putting my pen to paper and taking the time to do something for myself in this way re-ignited joy and brought much peace into my daily routines.
Over the past decade, after teaching thousands of students online and in person...I recognized there was a growing need among creatives for an ongoing community and a space where we can continue to practice consistently and have accountability to spur each other on. That's how this community idea came into fruition.
This invitation comes from a heart that desires for this community to be life-giving to you. I hope you will join me in this endeavor to make room in your days to experience the wondrous beauty of putting our pen to paper! ✨
